Yep, T-Mobile is selling that thing for 999 Euro (almost 1.500 USD). That's 600 Euro more than the unlocked thing. I wouldn't get the unlocked iPhone. I really like Apple and my iPhone, but it's just not worth 1000 Euro! I'd still do the same trick and get it from the US and unlock it here.
